The Challenge
In 2017, the Diocese of Burlington announced plans to convene its first diocesan synod in Vermont since 1962. In the final synod document, three pillars that needed improvement came to light: evangelization, supporting vibrant parishes and communication. So, the diocese embarked on a journey into the world of digital media to refresh the way they share about the Catholic Church in Vermont.
The diocese highlighted several goals, all of which focused on 1) uniformity and consistency, 2) easily shareable information and 3) increased digital connectivity between parishes and the diocese.
The Solution
The Diocese of Burlington knew that their desire to shatter the old expectations of Catholic communication meant finding a team that could help provide distinctive digital branding, a superior support staff and technology that simplified parish communication efforts.
Parishes were able to pick and customize a new website template with their own color schemes, images and content.
Parish and diocesan staff enjoyed one-to-one support at every stage of the transition via phone, email and webinar.
Using Diocesan Sharing™, information was shared directly from the diocese to parish websites, without any glitches.
eCatholic is built by Catholics, for Catholic organizations. The eCatholic team anticipated the unique needs of each parish.
The diocese can instantly share news, pastoral letters, and other important resources to all websites in its eCatholic-powered website network. We call it Diocesan Sharing™.
