Hesitant about live streaming Mass?

Live video is a powerful tool in your digital evangelization toolbox, and it's definintely unchartered territory for the Church.

Since we launched eCatholic LIVE, we've been blown away by the positive feedback and unexpected ways Catholics have begun using the product. One eCatholic LIVE customer recently forwarded us an email he received; a parishioner sent him some unsolicited feedback about the parish's live broadcast of Sunday Mass.

"Dear Father, I live down the street from St. Mary's church.

I typically wouldn't expect to need to make use of the new live streaming video Mass. But I've been under-the-weather, so I attended the 8:00 am live-streaming internet Mass today. The technology is terrific!

I used my PC and viewed the Mass in high-definition. All I had to do was click on the website window and the video came on right on schedule. No buffering or lag, great audio, the camera work was professional and focused where the action was. It was just like being in church (except for receiving communion) but with a better, more intimate view during the Liturgy of the Eucharist. It was a great experience.

You deserve credit for staying up-to-date on these advancing technologies and harnessing them for the benefit of our parish and diocese. Your homily today was really special. I'll pray for you and our other priests when I say my rosary. God bless you Father!“
