eCatholic's online giving tool eCatholic Payments now boasts two new features that make processing online donations and payments even easier for churches, schools and nonprofits. Take a look – we hope you love it as much as we do!
What it means: You can now set specific giving amounts for visitors to select using the new preset amounts feature.
How it works: When a visitor comes to your eCatholic Payments-powered online giving page, they can typically enter any dollar amount they wish to give. Now you can establish specific giving amounts.
For example, you may have “tiers” that outline different levels of online giving:
In your online giving form, you can now restrict visitors to these specific preset amounts. If you’d like, you can still allow them to donate some “other” amount if needed.
What it means: With the new preset accounts feature, you can now seamlessly manage where donated funds are allocated. Your visitors can also more easily specify which giving opportunities they’d like to support.
How it works: Beyond the offertory collection taken each Sunday, many parishes take up second collections throughout the year. (The second collections are usually for specific appeals or funding drives like World Mission Sunday, Black & Indian Mission, etc.) Now you can create a page for second collections, add the Donations module and use the preset accounts feature to add each giving opportunity. This creates a drop-down list that allows visitors to select which collection they'd like to support. In fact, when you specify which date each collection will occur, this new feature allows the most immediate upcoming collection to be selected in the drop-down list by default. This makes it easier for visitors to find the most relevant online giving opportunity.
