Friends, meet Lorenzo: Our newest free website theme!
Lorenzo comes loaded with the new Sections Layouts functionality and 15 beautiful color palette options. This means you can create attractive horizontal layers of content like you see in the video above...and have fun doing it!
Go ahead and give your homepage a DIY makeover using the high-contrast Lorenzo theme. Did we mention it's free? :)
If you love Lorenzo but don't have time to update your website yourself, claim your spot in our homepage makeover queue!
Our talented design team will configure your site with Lorenzo (or another theme that supports the new Sections Layouts feature), then optimize your homepage content.
Transform your homepage
Here are three updates we've made to the eCatholic websites interface.
You can use eCatholic's Site Map Editor to easily build the structure of your website: It's a drag-and-drop tool for adding new pages, subpages, quick links and more. Based on your feedback, we updated the Site Map Editor to create an even smoother user experience.
While the Site Map Editor looks the same at first glance, here's what we've changed:
Easier to delete site map items - Just hover and click to easily delete pages, groups, and quick links. (No more dragging-and-dropping into the trash can.)
Straightforward view of all site levels - Now, all levels of your site map will display each time you open the Site Map Editor. This means you can find pages more easily (especially when they're located in levels 3 or 4 of your site).
Quickly view pages from the site map - You can now easily view pages directly from the Site Map Editor without leaving the site map. Just hover and click the magnifying glass icon to view and edit pages in a new browser tab.
We launched eCatholic Sections Layouts so you can transform your homepage from a "catch-all bulletin board" to a powerful tool for marketing and evangelization.
To help you start imagining the possibilities, we've added helpful example images to the Section Type selector. As you create a new section, just click the "See Example" link (shown below) to view a finished section of that type.
Then, just copy the ideas and plug in your own content to create beautiful horizontal content regions on your site!
eCatholic's Sections Layouts feature allows you to create a balanced design and present information in clean, digestible chunks. Use the button below to see finished examples (plus an example of a complete homepage) in our Help Center.

Your homepage feature region is the “top of the fold” area on your homepage, and it can come in a variety of sizes (e.g., Standard vs. Full ) and modes (Photo mode vs. Video mode).
We've updated the dimensions for the Full homepage feature region to create a better experience for those viewing sites on a large monitor: Images will now be cropped at 1920 x 480 px (4:1 aspect ratio). (The original dimensions were 1440 x 480.)
Remember that this wider dimension means not all users will see your entire image. It's always best to make sure the subject of your feature region photos is located near the center of the image.
*This update affects only those with a Full feature region configured to display in Photo mode.
Members of our remote company (sometimes with a baby in tow) regularly gather as a team for two yearly retreats. This year, our Summer Team Week was held in gorgeous Nashville, TN.

Beyond the fun and fellowship pictured above, we prayed together, played together (frolfing, anyone?), and discussed how eCatholic is serving the Church -- now and into the future.
