We're on a mission to reverse the trend of not-so-great Catholic digital communication. The eCatholic Vlogcast offers bi-monthly content on technology, communication, design, leadership, and Catholic work culture. Check out our intro episode for more details:
There are two primary reasons we decided to launch the eCatholic Vlogcast:
Let's be honest. In many cases, non-Catholic, Christian churches harness the power of marketing, branding, and digital communication better than we do.
Just enter your city name + "churches" on Google to take a tour of other church websites in your area. Many times, you'll find non-Catholic churches with well-organized homepages, a compelling message, professional imagery, and a clear marketing strategy.
It's not meant to be offensive. And, of course, there's already a movement stirring within the Church to lead with beauty. The goal of this project is to continue to add momentum to the movement! We hope you'll join us. :)
There are thousands of faithful Catholics striving to carry out the Church's mission every day. The Church has a beautiful story. But sometimes, people don't have the tools or knowledge they need to tell it effectively.
We hear it all the time when we talk to customers: "I didn't go to school for this!" The Vlogcast will feature content that will help inspire and educate those who work for the Church. Together, we will explore ways to communicate and evangelize better.
We wanted to establish a set of rules for the Vlogcast. Here are ways we plan to hold ourselves accountable (and make sure we're fulfilling our mission with the content we create):
We invite you to join us in our mission to reverse the trend. Let's start sharing our story more effectively!
