Here's how you can apply a fresh font to a theme you already know and love.

The font choice for your digital or print media can be one of the most forgotten and overlooked decisions when thinking about brand style and communications. Seriously - font choice is no joke! Brands and companies may spend months deciding on which one they’ll use to help drive their visual presence.

While our team loves a good slab serif style or a bold Helvetica website title, we also know that you might want a few extra options when it comes to font choices for your eCatholic-powered website.

With this in mind, we’re happy to share that updating fonts on your website just got easier!
 

Introducing Font Packages

Ever wanted to change the default font style on your website, but didn't want to touch the CSS code? Well, now you're able to change font styles directly through a universal setting within your Design Studio.

For select free themes, you can choose from 3 different font packages to customize your site further. This update allows you to identify your website's default font easily and, if you so desire, select an alternative font package with just a few clicks.

When you choose to update your website's font, you'll get a shiny new primary and secondary font applied to every webpage. It's a unique chance to hit the reset button on your website or simply fall in love with your theme all over again. Here’s how you can instantly update your website’s font style:

Versatile enough for all your branding needs

We love to talk about brand identity. We love providing easy options that help you elevate your brand identity even more! 

Each font within these new packages was gathered from Google Fonts, which is a catalog of open-source fonts that are completely free to use. Every package will have the font names listed in their details; that way, you'll be able to apply the same font across all of your digital and print media for a simple step-up in your branding, marketing, and communication efforts!

An ever-expanding feature

While this new feature is only available on select free themes right now, you can rest assured that we’ll be applying this feature to all new free themes that are to be released in the future. Woo-hoo!

If you’re currently using a theme that does not support font packages, here are a few options to consider if you'd like to update your website's font:
 

1. Upgrade your theme - You can find a list of the free themes that support alternative font packages here. Check them out to see if this feature is available to you, or consider changing your website’s theme to access this new feature plus a simple design refresh!
2. Change your font using CSS code - Every eCatholic website has the ability to change design and style by editing the CSS code. Read our descriptive help article that walks you through making a change to website fonts on your own.
3.
