When all the parts of a new website come together, creativity truly blossoms as church organizations and eCatholic designers construct concepts that turn excitement into awe-inspiring solutions.
This group of recent custom designs really show how creative you can be with website navigation. The traditional navigation bar with drop down menus isn’t going anywhere as it still does the job; however, notice that many of these sites opted for collapsible navigation and fewer quick links. They also found ways for people to find essential information without guessing their way through homepages of endless content.
Where did they put everything? Read on, click around, and see for yourself…

What we love: Tabs as a homepage navigation tool
St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church takes visitors directly to what identifies their parish most - right on their homepage! A stunning Homepage Feature Region welcomes with beautiful images and a shape literally points you in the right direction as you scroll down. Soon you land on an inviting Tabs Section filled with community highlights. Tabs Sections are a great way to offer information broken into themes, thus making it a perfect navigation tool as well!
Visit WebsiteWhat we love: Buttons and Imagery working together
Imagery tells your story and brings your mission to life. Assumption Catholic School valued both imagery as well as connecting visitors to the right content. Keeping these things in mind, we love how they mixed navigation buttons on their homepage, styling them with custom images as well as bold titles. This fun use of media makes every picture functional by adding beauty as a navigating-feature. The variety of buttons also creates a fun pattern and visual element to their design.
What we love: All the information in one simple space
Nativity of the Lord Catholic School built a beautifully functional homepage spotlighting key information in one simple location. There is no need to scroll (or keep scrolling...) when your homepage actually fits within the screen size of a visitor’s monitor. Custom buttons even feature school images to help save space. All the essentials are within one glance on a desktop view, or a very clean and quick-to-digest mobile experience.
What we love: A strong focus on invitation.
LaSallian Global Advantage Program understands that serving the lives of others depends a lot on making connections. Their new custom design website offers a bright homepage layout filled with compelling images of the faces behind their mission. Paired each image, are various styles of sections that focus on directing visitors to connect either by learning more, becoming a member, or receiving updates. Their homepage space was purposefully directs people toward connection.
