ChMS joins the eCatholic family and product suite

Blazing a new trail for church communication and engagement, I am excited to announce that eCatholic has acquired ChMS (formerly GabrielSoft), a cloud-based church management software company. Now that ChMS has joined the eCatholic family, their ChMS has officially become a part of the eCatholic product suite.

I am happy to share this announcement on the Feast of St. John Vianney (Aug. 4). Canonized almost 100 years ago, St. John Vianney’s life and death have served as an inspiration of a servant’s heart through the great love, dedication and steadfast care he held for his parish flock.

It is fitting that we share this special day in the eCatholic journey with St. John Vianney, and we ask him to intercede for us as we begin to provide a software platform that will allow you to shepherd your own flock more intentionally and effectively.

Why ChMS?

When we began to explore the idea of partnering with ChMS, it became clear that adding their software to the eCatholic product suite would be a perfect fit; especially since our goals of serving the Church were so closely aligned.

We are inspired daily by the constant love, sacrifices, and struggles that Church leaders experience while serving their flock. Our partnership with CHMS was truly a result of listening to our customers and working to solve common technology challenges they face each and every day.

Your needs: answered

As we began to move towards this new partnership, we learned more about the product behind the name “ChMS”. We found that the software was easy-to-use and could solve the data management pain points that were shared with us in recent customer interviews that we conducted.

Many of the people we spoke with expressed the need for help with their parishioner data management. The programs they used were outdated and unhelpful — and we were often asked if eCatholic products could more directly communicate with current ChMS systems.

The first item on our list of “to-do’s” will be to finalize a drag-and-drop Form Module that specifically collects information for Religious Education programs that can be synced directly to a parish’s ChMS account. Not only that, but we are also planning to allow eCatholic Payments and ChMS to communicate seamlessly so that you can have a better picture of your parishioners and their data across multiple eCatholic products.

Beyond the benefit that these integrations will have for parishes, ChMS has also been a trusted partner for dioceses across the United States. The ChMS platform was designed to handle large amounts of data coming from multiple sources. Now, there is an enterprise solution for dioceses that is able to standardize data throughout all of their parishes.

Serving the church as one family

In addition to this new product, eCatholic has also gained a few new team members from ChMS. I am happy to see our team grow at such a quick pace, especially so we can continue to provide the excellent service and support you’ve come to know from both eCatholic and ChMS.
