Last week, eCatholic launched a revolutionary initiative with the Archdiocese of New York. Cardinal Dolan will be connecting the church in a whole new way.
"What we plan to do is to equip every parish across the archdiocese with eCatholic and Flocknote, which is going to make the Archdiocese of New York among the most innovative and connected dioceses in the world."
-Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archdiocese of New York
eCatholic will provide all of the parishes in the Archdiocese -- with beautiful, mobile-responsive websites that will empower them to not only inform, but also inspire and engage the people they serve. Although a new website for any parish or diocese is great, we are extremely excited about the bigger vision of this endeavor. This model can be easily adapted to any diocese or Archdiocese across the country.
After we complete the rollout of eCatholic to all of the parishes in the Archdiocese, the diocese will be able to dynamically aggregate data from the parish websites, while also automatically pushing relevant content to all of the newly designed parish websites.
I know some of you may be thinking that this must be incredibly expensive and that your diocese couldn't afford it. But we are able to provide eCatholic (and Flocknote) to every parish in the Archdiocese of New York for less per-parish than the monthly price of one smartphone. Our mission at eCatholic has always been to provide beautiful, easy-to-update websites at a ministry price. We want to empower you to share the Good News in your area!
With eCatholic and Flocknote, Dolan says, "This Archdiocese is going to have the ability to share information with -- and get feedback from -- our people in a very efficient and effective way."
If your diocese would like to embrace this new, revolutionary way to communicate, please don't hesitate to share this with them or reach out to me directly: [email protected]
