What we're excited about: Updates to your Instagram Module

It’s time to drag and drop that Instagram module back onto your eCatholic website! A recent update to the Instagram module now allows you to display more than just a single post. Now, use the module to showcase a single post, a single reel, or a collage of your entire profile and most recent posts!

One-time donors now listed in the Payments Center

You’re eCatholic Payments Center just got a little more comprehensive! Details for one-time donations made in 2023, 2024 (and beyond) are now visible when you visit the Donor Management tab in your Payments Center!

Now, you’ll have a better understanding of all of your donors, not just those who give recurring gifts. Plus, if a member asks for an annual statement, you’ll be able to export all of their recurring AND one-time gifts into one beautiful PDF, directly from their Donor Details. Sweet!

Our ChMS is sporting a new name!

In 2021, we welcomed another digital product to the eCatholic product suite. The church managment software that you knew for many years as “GabrielSoft”, has officially become “eCatholic ChMS”. This new name also brings in a new chapter for our ChMS product, thanks to our commitment to provide you with a seamless and integrated experience across all of our products.

Don’t worry - what you know and love about the ChMS has not changed one bit. Your friendly support team, their exceptional service, and the powerful features of your ChMS database are still around. We are excited for the future of our ChMS product, and hope you are too!

New functionality for Contribution Maintenance

Individual contributions recorded in your ChMS may now be edited after they are posted to your database! This offers you more control over your data and the ability to make precise changes or updates at your convenience.

Here are the functionality updates that help you manage and edit individual contributions:

• View Button: This feature was updated to give you the ability to change the fund, family, and church associated with an individual contribution. 
• Audit Button: This is a new button that allows you to see a list of previous changes made to each contribution, including the date of change and the username associated with each change.

Groups in your Site Map can now create non-clickable navigation items

Previously, eCatholic-powered websites only allowed for a Page element to be added to the top level of your Site Map. This would create a button in your website navigation, that directed visitors to an interior page upon clicking. Now, we’ve updated the functionality so that a Group element can be added to the top level of the Site Map, which allows you to create a non-clickable item in your navigation menu that includes a drop down list of items when hovered over.

Now, styling your navigation bar is easier than ever and you can perfectly place each menu item in the way you think is best for your church, school or organization.

Annual Statements function relocated in the ChMS

We’re always looking for ways to help you to work more effectively in your ChMS. That’s why we relocated the Annual Statements button to a few new places in your database. Now, you can create Annual Statements directly from your Family Explorer, individual family records, and the Fund Maintenance screen. This move provides you with quicker access to the tool if you’re looking to download these reports. Here’s how it works:

ChMS Committees is now Groups

In your ChMS navigation, what was previously called “Committees” is now called “Groups” to better align the ChMS to the other eCatholic products in our product suite. Don’t worry - the functionality and location for “Groups” will remain the same as before. But, a few additional places for you to notice this update are listed below:

1. Committee Explorer is now Group Explorer
2. Committee Maintenance is now Group Maintenance
3. Add Committee is now Add Group (found within Group Maintenance)

Every once in a while, it's nice to take a pause and reflect on how far we've come. Changes made, updates installed, and even celebrating one another and the time set aside to build relationships and trust so we can work better together to serve you!

January Team Week in College Station

As a fully-remote company, there’s nothing our team enjoys more than the chance to come together for a week of fellowship, fun, and service! This past January, College Station, TX played host to our annual Team Week, where our employees were able to reconnect, relax, and most of all, spend time building up that team spirit through a service project, a few fun company meeting updates and attending Mass together.

A stand out moment from this year’s Team Week was the chance to celebrate a few of our team members who celebrated milestone anniversaries for their work at eCatholic. Joe Garcia (Senior Diocesan Evangelist) and Lisa Garner (HR Manager) were both honored for serving at eCatholic for 10 years and Doug Naaden (Senior Happiness Engineer) was celebrated for his 16 years of service at eCatholic. For these longstanding employees, the day-to-day details of work at eCatholic may have changed over the years, but their friendship and dedication to helping the rest of the team has never wavered. Thank you for all of your service to our team and all of our clients!
