With a plan to consolidate 157 parishes into 57 parish clusters, the Diocese of Pittsburgh wanted to provide helpful resources to the new parish groupings. In particular, each new group of parishes would need tools to establish a new online identity.
Knowing the transition would likely be painful and complicated for each parish and its staff, the diocese needed a communications plan in place from the outset. Immediately providing the right resources would help each transition get off to a positive start. Due to the sensitive nature of parish mergers, it was crucial to get it right (and to provide tools that wouldn’t lead to more frustration).
