Twenty years after my “Peter moment” and the founding of eCatholic, I am transitioning from CEO to Chairman.
Fun fact: Jason is also a certified Bareboat Sailing Skipper.
Jason is a 27-year veteran in the software and technology industry, including roles as a Co-founder, COO, CTO, VP of Product, VP of Business Marketing, and Senior Systems Engineer, just to name a few. He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas.
As we begin our third decade, eCatholic is strongly positioned to realize our vision of being The Engagement Platform of the Catholic Church. And with his unique gifts and experience, Jason is the right leader at the right time to guide us through the waters of our new and expanded vision.
eCatholic Founder and Chairman Josh Simmons hands over the 'Captain's Wheel' to our newly appointed CEO Jason Jaynes during eCatholic's Team Week company retreat in January in San Antonio, Texas.
As CEO, Jason will continue to run the day-to-day operations, lead our amazing eCatholic team who serve our 8,000+ customers, and shape our strategy to achieve our vision, all while nurturing our Catholic culture and values that have guided us since the beginning.
As for me, this change really just formalizes a prayerful and carefully planned transition that has been underway for some time. As Founder and Chairman, I am excited to focus on using my gifts as a visionary, creative, and champion of culture to continue serving our team and customers.
eCatholic has always been God’s company. He simply chose me to found the company and serve as its first leader and branch on the vine (John 15:4-5). Without Him, we can do nothing. But with Him, we will bear much fruit.
I am so humbled and grateful for all that God has accomplished with our five loaves and two fish (John 6:5-13) over these first two decades of eCatholic, and I look forward to all that He has in store for the future under Jason's leadership as we fulfill our vision to be The Engagement Platform of the Catholic Church!
