Michael came to College Station in 2005 to study Computer Science at Texas A&M University and he hasn't left since. He now lives south of town with his wife, Erin, and their two children, Gabriel and Mary Clare. He collects hobbies as a hobby, but his favorites are reading, guitar, photography, camping, and hiking. He also travels throughout the Brazos Valley with a Gregorian chant choir, bringing the beauty of sacred music to God's church.
Before coming to eCatholic, Michael worked for the Texas Center for Applied Technology, an applied research center under the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station. He supported simulation software for a first responder training course, and contributed to an information collection and aggregation software suite, which collects biosurveillance data, tracks animal disease progression and transmission, and helps to maintain business continuity for the agricultural industry. He is also a Signal Officer in the Texas Army National Guard; his unit is stationed in Waco, Texas, and provides reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition capabilities to their higher headquarters and sister units.
Michael is passionate about using technology and new media to evangelize the world. He takes great joy in teaching and sharing knowledge, and even greater joy in watching people become life-long learners; he hopes to share this joy through his work with eCatholic.
