What we love: Large homepage buttons create clean space
Along with its striking blue and white color scheme, you’ll notice something else about St. Peter Catholic Church’s website. Just below the stunning homepage feature region, that visitors with images rotating behind an impressive gradient overlay, you will find a different approach for homepage content. Adorned in large custom buttons that create vibrant imagery and effective navigation, the homepage experience limits the amount of words and rather offers to take visitors to that which interests them most.
Visit WebsiteWhat we love: Unique use for a main navigation bar
One way to make your welcome message feel larger than the screen it’s viewed on, is to place your site navigation menus in a unique location. St. John the Apostle School utilizes a collapsible navigation system which opens from the website’s top right corner. This allows more space for their feature region’s large beautiful imagery, creating an awesome first impression. Even the featured image of the site’s interior pages fill the space above content offering that expressive design with every click into the website.
What we love: Clean timeless design that attracts
An incredibly elegant website welcomes visitors with a neutral backdrop, timeless font styles, and captivating imagery. The Diocese of Marquette, chose a unique navigation feature underneath their main image. The simplistic design of the custom buttons keeps the focus on the rotating messages above, while still offering a fun hover effect as visitors click to locate parishes, school, or news headlines. The variety of sections keeps content fresh, clean, and easy to follow.
What we love: An exceptionally fun use of branding.
This website will keep you scrolling to discover all the fun ways Catholic Charities infused their brand and story into every page. See how design elements draw you back to their spirited logo with image and color accents applied top to bottom. A few details not to miss include custom homepage buttons for their services that light up to match the different colors of their logo, and the large interior page titles that feature a watermark set to the left. Awesome details all working together.
What we love: Navigation buttons built right into the homepage feature region.
St. Michael and St. Mary churches designed a unique website for their joined parish communities. Combining multiple parish communities on one website is no easy task, but this website makes information easily identifiable for each parish. The beautiful featured video gives a special inside peek at the communities, and has two main navigation buttons uniquely positioned in front of the moving footage. A great way to still have an impressive welcome, while making the feature extra useful.
